Just when you think you have instagram mastered, they come out with something new. Something you're not sure about. Something different...or is it?
Basically, Instagram Reels are similar to Tik Tok (OMG another thing you're not sure about).
This is what Instagram said about Reels: "Reels are 15-second multi-clip videos with audio, effects, and new creative tools. You can share Reels with your followers on Feed, and, if you have a public acount, make them available to the wider Instagram communityy through a new space in Explore."
In a nutshell, it's another avenue you for you to promote your business, and gain more exposure to a much larger audience than just your own followers!
So, now, here's how to create a Reel.
Tap your profile photo just as though you were going to add to your story.
At the bottom tap Reels.
Add video from your gallery, or you can record on the spot. While recording there is a progress bar at the top so you can see how much of that 15 seconds you have used.
Editing icons appear down the left side of your screen allowing you to add various elements and even music to your new Reel.
After you've finished adding your editing elements, tap the arrow bottom right. This is where you can add additional affects.
Just before you share your Reel, you have the ability to add hashtags, captions or tag other accounts.
Share or save as draft.
If your account is public (and we hope it is), your Reel will be discoverable by anyone on Instagram! Your Reels will then be saved automatically in a tab on your profile page.
So, another opportunity for you - and a bit of fun too! Get creative - start sending out Reels asap and reap the rewards!
